Brenda Hodge

I often get asked where I ran in college. I never ran at Northwestern, but some of my running success can be credited to marching there. During my senior year, I completed the Chicago Marathon (4+ hours) but I did not begin running consistently until after my fourth child. In 2013 I participated in the Bob Potts Marathon, completing it in 3:15:28. That June, I began training more seriously and eventually lowered my marathon time to 2:53:13 (2018). Although I frequently race other distances, the marathon holds a special place in my heart.
